Dritz Seam Roll

Very Disappointed in quality
I have previously purchased items from Dritz that I was happy with and so I had absolutely no qualms about ordering a product from them again. Wouldn't you think that this Dritz Pressing Aids Seam Roll would be a no-risk item? Just 2 rectangular pieces of fabric sewn together with stuffing in between, which ends up resembling a sausage.
But when I opened up the plastic bag it reeked of some kind of chemical. One side of the roll was made out of a plaid fabric that resembled some cheap kind of wool. It was rough and linty. Both sides had dye that rubbed off on everything. I wiped off several times with water but to no avail. I was afraid to move onto trying to clean it with soap as the stuffing seemed to be made out of something that might get even more clumped or fall apart if it got any more wet.
Perhaps Dritz has several different companies that actually manufacture their products. This could account for one poor quality product. But this doesn't help me.
I...

Product is unsafe
I bought this product today (not from Amazon). I did not notice a funny odor like the previous reviewer wrote.. But there is something within the seam roll that broke me out in a rash all over my upper body including my face and scalp! I have welts all over including on my eyelids! This product is unsafe! I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Seam Roll
I like the seamroll just fine. It is shorter than what I am used to but it works. On long seams I would much prefer a longer one gut this is better than none. Construction of the seam roll is good and I like that it has a wool cover. My original one was about 12 or 14 inches long and this one is about 6 or 7 inches long.
