Messy Top Loader
I bought this model after it came up on a search of "bottom loader" water coolers. It is actually a top loader. The photo appearing on amazon.com really does not indicate where the water container is loaded, so we did not really get what we wanted.
We received it and found it to be a top loader and a very messy one at that. To seat the water container on it, you have to take the cap off the water container completely, turn the water container upside down, and place it on top of the cooler. It does not puncture the cap and there is no seal like on other water cooler models we have owned over the years. As we flip over the container and try to seat it, a lot of water spills on to the floor and even on the closest wall no matter how fast we try the maneuver.
Do not recommend this product. Ours is going to be donated to Goodwill or some other charity. On the plus side, it does a good job of dispensing hot and cold water so I gave it two stars instead of one...
Works great
So far so good with this product. I had noticed that I drink a lot more water at work where I have access to a water cooler so I decided to pick one up for the house. Unit works just fine and we have had no issues. We're only using this for the cold water part now (b/c it's the middle of summer) so I can't comment anything about the hot water feature. Although the water does come out chilled, I would like the option to bring the temp a little cooler for my personal taste. That's the only critcism I have for this cooler and it's mostly b/c I like my water super cold.
LOVE THIS! PERFECT
I bought this for my husband for christmas because our water has a bit of a funk to it despite having a water softener. I was somewhat nervous about buying it because of the previous two review, but decided to try anyways because it was the only black one I could find for a reasonable price. We had absolutely NO problems loading the water and we made absolutely no mess doing so, which we both thought we were going to do. Even had several towels ready for clean up but there was no need. He loves it, works great!!! Easy set up as well! Would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a nice stylish modern looking but affordable water dispenser. My husband is very picky about his water temp and he says the water is nice and cold and to his liking. Also, this is a top load unit, it doesn't say that in the description, and you can't tell by the pics if it is or isn't. I don't mind it being a top load.
