Great GE replacemment
This is an exact replacement for the GE ice maker. After reading a post somewhere that the GE part was made by Samsung and the Samsung part could be used in place of, as well as being cheaper (by by-passing the GE mark-up)it was a no-brainer to order this part. It was delivered on time, and well packaged. Removing and replacing the old part with the new one took less than 5 minutes. Ice cubes started flowing (or being dumped out) a few hours later.
Working order
Worked perfectly. Fast shipping. Not damaged. Excellent price. Can't ask for more. Does take 24 to 48 hrs to make ice after installed. That's the normal operation. Got me alittle worried at first.
ge profile - works fine
works fine in my GE profile. Cheaper than the GE branded item that is actually made by Samsung.
Note that there was a recall on the control board for these fridges. Search online to find how to check the control board for the correct version if your ice maker is having a problem working very slowly.
