DON'T BUY THIS!!
This is a super-sweet tricked-out fridge. Love the door in door feature. We bought it and had it installed March 15, 2013. Six weeks later, May 3rd, the freezer stopped working. It took a while for an LG certified service guy to be found for our area so a few days later someone came out and spent no less than 3 hours working on it. He didn't have the part he needed by the end of that, so ordered it and scheduled a return visit for two weeks later, after the part would have arrived. Mid-may, he returns and works for another 4 hours. LG tech support tried to help, but in the end, that didn't work either and ANOTHER part was ordered and another visit scheduled for two weeks out. Last Saturday, June 8, 2013, he came out again, and was here working on the problem for at least 3 hours (seriously, by now we're going to start exchanging Christmas cards with this guy!) and declared it unable to be repaired, possible recall. We went back to the store we bought it from and was able to easily...
Best refrigerator I've ever used
The few who have a bad experience are usually the ones who write a review, so I thought I'd write one.
This door-in-door fridge is the same basic design as the LG LFX31935ST, the only fridge to receive Reviewed.com's "best of year" award twice in a row: http://refrigerators.reviewed.com/products/lg-lfx31935st-blast-chiller (Note: reviewed.com cannot review reliability).
The differences are that this unit does not have the "blast chiller" (boo) but does have the "door-in-door" feature.
I really like the door-in-door. It is large enough to give quick access to three 1/2 gallon juice/milk containers, two full-gallon milk containers, 3 cans of soda/beer (strangely, the shelf labeled for cans is almost wide enough for 4 cans, but not quite. It looks like they could have easily widened it a little to fit 4 cans).
The fridge is quiet, looks good, and seems to be very well organized. The shelving is a little "plasticky", though some bins have...
LG does stand for "life's Good" with this fridge,
Bought one from the Sears Outlet for less than half the listed price. Yes it did have a few dings; but nothing that would be really noticed. Works great; no problems. Plenty of room and seems to keep the produce fresher longer; quiet and I haven't had any problem with the ice maker. Loads of room and pretty much fits in the same slot as the old Jen-Air that I had. The Led lighting is fantastic; open the doors and its like a near death experience; going into the light.
All in all a pretty cool fridge; really pleased.
