FANTASTIC!
20 years ago I searched consumer reports for an upright vacuum and the Sharp model fit my needs perfectly. My son needed a vacuum so I gave him the Sharp that still worked beautifully and went online to find another. Much to my disappointment Sharp no longer made vacuums but the Panasonic MC-UG223 was recommended as a replacement. I didn't think I would find one I liked as well as my Sharp but was VERY excited to find that I loved this Panasonic EVEN MORE! I have had very expensive vacuums over the past 42 years but this Panasonic beats them all. Power, ease of use, easy to move from level to level in my home. I have many tools left over from previous vacuums so finding one to fit the hose on the Panasonic to do bare floors was not a problem or issue for me. That would be the only negative - it does not come with a good tool for doing bare floors. But the hose is a universal size so it's no problem finding one. Most of my home is carpeted so for my purposes, this vacuum cannot...
Very well made....

VERDICT: Panasonic has been building vacuums for over fifty years and truely builds a high quality line of vacuum cleaners. A leading consumer publication warns against using a bagless vacuums if you or anyone in your home suffer from allergies.
Great Basic Vacuum
Wife loves this simple easy to use vacuum. No special setting for different floor types. Metal handle doesn't crack like all the plastic ones tend to do. You simply turn it on and vacuum. It has plenty of suction and while it is a bit noisy, that is a small price to pay for a simple product at a reasonable price that simply does the job.
