It works for my Bissell 58F83
In summary: This roller will work for the Bissell 58F83 Rewind Smartclean vacuum - I installed it today - and it runs like new.
Backstory: After making a foolish mistake involving my Bissell 58F83 Rewind Smartclean and a dry washcloth that was sitting under a table - I was in need of a new roller and belt. I searched all over the internet - and found that there were replacement parts available from the manufacturer for the "15-inch roller" - but before I pulled the trigger I used a tape measure and realized the actual roller piece - though mine was slightly melted from my accident - was nowhere close to 15-inches - more like 14.5-inches. I then searched further - and I tell you this so you don't waste an hour - and found that the part number had been changed over the years along with the spec readout for the measurement. How can a part number change AND the size change AND still be good for the previous models? It doesn't make any sense.

Smell of burned rubber...yep, need new roller.
Well Bissell's website lists this at 19+ dollars, and not including shipping, not to mention
they do not write you back right away with info, and refused that they had a 14'' brush.
"We only carry 15 inches" well I wasn't going to risk it not fitting, and ordered it here.
Great Product, installed in seconds. Works better than before. Just lifts the dirt right off the carpet.
A definite must have, especially if it happens to you.
I'll buy 4 more.

I ordered this hoping it would fit based on the picture. I am so grateful, I have not vacuumed in a week..and now it's working!!! Item arrived earlier than expected. It does not look like the original roller but it works just fine. Probably lesses quality but not enough to notice the difference. Overall it is worth the buy.
